Low Mood and Depression
There are a few types of mood problems ranging from general persistent low mood moving through depression caused by something that has happened, depression mixed with anxiety which is sometimes crippling to the more chronic long term depression and finally for a diagnosed Depressive disorder.

It is accepted that counselling and Psychotherapy can be very helpful in working through depression and sometimes people need this as well as prescribed medication and some do not need any medication.

The symptoms of depression are many and are often compounding the problem.

They can include physical symptoms like bad sleep, fatigue, anxiety and headaches and frequent illnesses, emotional symptoms such as persistent crying, irritability and anger, psychological symptoms such as ruminating thinking, negative thoughts and also unwanted thoughts too. There can also be behavioural symptoms such as not going out, inability to go to work and avoiding activities and relationships with others.
Each person is different and depression is likely to be different too which is why counselling and therapy needs to be individualized as there is not a one method fits all.
