Work Related Stress & Anxiety
Work-related stress is incredibly common. Many people experience pressure in their jobs without necessarily needing time off—whether it’s due to;
-
managing difficult relationships with colleagues or clients.
-
tight deadlines
-
high workloads,
-
performance expectations
-
long hours
This kind of stress can ebb and flow and is often seen as a normal part of working life.
However, when stress becomes overwhelming or persistent, it can begin to affect mental and emotional wellbeing more seriously. For some, this leads to anxiety, depression, burnout, or other difficulties that make continuing to work feel impossible. Being signed off from work for emotional or psychological reasons is sometimes the only option—but that, too, can bring its own emotional strain, including guilt, fear of judgment, or anxiety about returning.
In therapy, we explore the full picture of what’s been happening—whether the source of stress is purely work-related, personal, or a mix of both.
Together, we aim to reduce emotional distress, rebuild resilience, and help you feel more in control. Whether your goal is to return to your current role or explore new directions, support is available to help you move forward in a healthier, more balanced way.
