Anxiety
Feelings of anxiety can range from mild to severe where it affects our lives and the things we want to do.

When anxiety reaches a point where it is affecting a person's mood, general wellbeing, relationships or ability to function well in day to day life, thearapy is usually the way to go to recuce or eliminate these negative feelings.

In some cases, the anxiety a person feels can get focussed onto a thought (intrusive thoughts), object or situation (fear of a place) or behaviour (locking doors) in small ways or more significant ways that might produce an OCD.

Types of Anxiety Issues can relate to include:

-
Relationship Anxiety
-
Social Anxiety
-
Anxiety at work
-
Anxiety when shopping
-
Anxiety when seeing other family members
-
Anxiety when Driving
-
General Anxiety apparently about nothing
-
Anxiety about a future forthcoming event
-
Anxiety about a past event or experience

Symptoms of anxiety can include, repetative thougts, rumination, an inability to concentrate, shakiness, loss of appitite, inability to return to work, loss of interest in things that were normally good for you, insomnia, early waking, nervous feelings or disposition and sometimes panic attacks.

Therapy works to untangle the process of the unwanted anxiety including stopping panic attacks aiming to for a calmer sense of wellbeing. In my practice this involves exploring the cause, thought tendancies, paying attention to neurological pathways and working with your whole personality, character and life experiences of which made you who you are today to support you to get trepidation back to the level where it belongs and is useful to you.
